Arranging an assessment
Appointments are made through the hospital's outpatient line or through the appointment service. If you are travelling from outside Chongqing, say so when you book, because the assessment and any tests can sometimes be arranged across fewer visits. You can also use the contact page on this site to ask a question before booking.
What to bring
Bring any previous eyelid, brow or facial surgery records, a list of your current medicines and allergies, and the names of any conditions you are being treated for. If you have had injectable treatment around the eye, note when and where, because the timing changes how the area is read. Photographs of your face from a few years ago are more useful than most people expect, and the morning and afternoon photographs described in these guides are worth bringing too.
What happens at the consultation
Expect an examination rather than a presentation. The surgeon will look at the brow in expression and at rest, compare the lids on the two sides, examine the tear trough in overhead light, press and lift the tissue to see what is structure and what is fluid, and ask about sleep, allergy, thyroid, anaemia and medicines. You should leave knowing which contributors are present, whether anything should be done about them, and what the alternatives and their limits are.
Asking a question without booking
Questions about the content of this site — including any correction you believe should be made to it — are welcome through the hospital's administration line. Clinical questions about your own case are best answered in person, and we will say so rather than guess.
