General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces a tired-looking eye, how the contributors are told apart, and what treatment costs in recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
Whether a tired look comes from a hollow, from pigment, from fluid, from the brow or from the position of the lid depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: how the brow behaves in expression, how the two lids compare, what lies under the skin, how the tissue responds to being lifted, and your medical history. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a decision made from a website alone is a decision made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ. Healing takes months and the final appearance of an eye area is judged at 6 to 12 months. No surgeon, and no website, can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness, fever, bleeding that does not stop, sudden visual change, new double vision or a lid that will not open as it did, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting to be seen at a routine appointment.
